Accor will replace its current digital meetings requests-for-proposals website with Groups360's GroupSync platform by year-end, the companies announced Tuesday.
Afterward, the company plans to launch at the beginning of 2022 GroupSync Engage, the Groups360 solution that enables customers to book meeting and event spaces in real time. Eventually, clients also will be able to book group guest rooms through the tool. The service will be available to the majority of Accor's more than 5,200 properties worldwide, according to the company.
"GroupSync Engage will empower Accor to better serve its global markets by allowing planners to book not only meeting space but also group room blocks, [food and beverage] and audiovisual services in the same online transaction," said Groups360 CEO Kemp Gallineau.
Accor, along with Hilton Worldwide, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Marriott International, invested a combined $50 million in Groups360 about two years ago. IHG was the first to deploy the GroupSync Engage platform in February 2021, followed by Hilton in June.
