Deem president and CEO John Rizzo will retire in January 2021, the company announced, and current chief revenue officer David Grace is set to assume the helm of the corporate travel technology provider.
Since joining Deem in April 2016 from IT software company SolarWinds, Rizzo led the company through milestones including its January 2019 sale to Enterprise Holdings, as well as the subsequent narrowing of Deem's focus to booking services and sunsetting of its in-house expense management platform in June 2019. Earlier this year, Deem revamped its hotel search and booking tool with new features and capabilities, and two months later added a safety and risk assessment function powered by GeoSure data.
Grace joined Deem as CRO in December 2019 after a series of leadership roles with Deem parent company Enterprise Holdings and Vanguard Car Rental, the parent company of National and Alamo Car Rental.
In turn, Deem's CRO role will be filled by Christina Woronchak, who also joined Deem in December 2019 in a strategic advisory role. Previously, Woronchak for more than 15 years served in sales and business development leadership positions with American Express Global Business Travel.
