Meetings and events startup Headbox has raised £2 million, bringing its total funding to £13.2 million, the company announced. HeadBox, which currently is live in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands and Australia, will use the funds to launch in the United States, according to the company.
Users can plan in-person, virtual or hybrid events on the platform, which offers about 9,000 venues across Europe. Clients have included L'Oréal, Snap Inc. and Skyscanner, according to the company's website. HeadBox also noted that the business grew during 2020, and as live events are returning, it has expanded its team from 28 to 52 people during the past three months.
Deepbridge Capital, via the Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS fund, led the funding round.
