Indonesia has a full range of accommodations, from beach huts to some of the best resorts in the world. Bali and Jakarta offer excellent resorts, with June-September, December and January being peak periods. Relatively speaking, accommodations in Indonesia are inexpensive, although the major hotels charge international rates in U.S. dollars. Bali is cheap, Java cheaper and Sumatra the least expensive of the three main islands visited by tourists.
